About Casa Brava
La Casa Brava is a six-story residential condominium at 232 East 118th Street. Amenities at this post-war building include rooftop terrace, washer/dryer in building and video intercom. Located in East Harlem, very close to the 6 subway line, It is distinguished by its intensely colorful and unusual façade, one of the most dramatic in the city. Designed by Peter L. Gluck, the façade is framed in a lapis lazuli blue glazed brick that wraps around the front of the building. The façade design is also unusual as it irregularly frames the inset windows. Peter Gluck received an honor award from the New York Chapter of the American Institute of Architects in 2004.
All the homes have high ceilings, floor to ceiling windows and continuous white oak flooring creating a feeling of light and space. The homes are ideal for entertainment and social gatherings. The kitchens have quartz countertop, stainless steel GE appliances (GE) washers and dryers with some of the homes featuring outdoor spaces.
Many iconic places are nearby, such as Patsy's Pizza, one of the most famous in NYC, or Santiago's Beer Garden. The Harlem river and the Thomas Jefferson Park are also close to Casa Brava. It has all what East Harlem offers, a vibrant scene, cultural diversity, art, all in a highly walkable and exciting neighborhood.
